Uniform Information

Summer Band Uniform

  • Every member is sized in April or May.
  • Consists of shirt, shorts, white socks and white marching shoes.
  • The white socks can be either no show or ankle length only.
  • Each member must purchased each part of the uniform. (Marching shoes are purchased on an individual need basis. Ex. They grew out of their last pair of shoes.)
  • Worn for the Blue Tip Parade in June and Band Camp in July.

Tips for Cleaning WHITE Marching Shoes

  • Clean shoes with leather cleaner.
  • Mr. Clean Eraser with a little water.
  • Use white shoe polish to cover scuff marks.
  • Use tire wall cleaner for the side of the soles.

Fall Marching Band Uniform

  • Every member is sized in July.
  • Consists of pants, jacket, white gloves, raincoat, hat, hat bag, and white marching shoes.
  • Members receive one pair of free white gloves. White gloves are sold before every game.
  • White marching shoes. (Marching shoes are purchased on an individual need basis. Ex. They grew out of their last pair of shoes.)
  • Members must wear a white, plain shirt underneath the jacket, silky shorts or tight exercise pants under the pants and white, plain tube socks.
  • Alterations are provided.
  • If the member’s hair is long in length, all hair shall be put under the hat.
  • Tuba players wear a beret in place of the marching hat. They are provided one and can purchase another as needed.
  • Raincoats are provided to freshman and new students. Raincoats must be brought to each marching performance wrapped up tight in the hat bag. It is the responsibility of the member to hang up raincoats and wash them as needed. Extra hat bags are provided on a needed basis.
  • Raincoats are to be returned to school after the Senior’s Marching Band season.

Tips for Cleaning WHITE Marching Gloves

  • Spot spray the stains.
  • Wash the gloves in the washing machine.
  • Lay the gloves flat to dry.

 

Tips for Cleaning Marching Band Raincoats

  • If it rains, hang them up to dry that evening!
  • Turn the coat inside out, wash in cold water in a washing machine and hang up to dry.
  • NEVER Dry Clean the raincoat.
  • NEVER dry the raincoat in the dryer. The heat ruins the protective coating.

 

Tips for Cleaning WHITE Marching Shoes

Concert Dress

  • Every member is sized in the fall.
  • Females wear a dress and black shoes.
  • Males wear a black tux consisting of shirt, cumberbun, bow tie, pants, jacket, black dress socks and black shoes.
  • Members must provide his or her own black shoes and socks.
  • Uniforms are passed out to the students to take home, hang them up and clean them as needed.
  • Alterations are provided.
  • Concert uniforms are to be returned to school after the Senior’s Concert season.

Tips for Cleaning Dresses

  • Dresses can be machine washed and hung up to dry.

 

Tips for Cleaning Tuxes

  • Tux shirts may be machine washed and hung to dry.
  • Pants and jackets are to be Dry Cleaned as needed.
